For those that would be able to sense these kinds of things, Dante is a) literally rotting b) the soul inside Lyra's body is not the real soul. She's like a parasite, kind of. Otherwise, Dante wouldn't give off any thing.
Also, she can use alchemy on the Plane and off it, just so you know.
